AlgoSolveoThe short version: AlgoSolveo stores your settings and progress on your own device. We don't sell your data, we don't track your browsing, and we only read LeetCode problem pages when you use the extension.
1. Who we are
AlgoSolveo ("AlgoSolveo", "we", "us") is a Chrome extension and website that helps you learn data structures and algorithms on LeetCode. This policy explains what information the extension and website handle, why, and your choices. Contact: manikethanreddychalla20@gmail.com.
2. Information the extension handles
- LeetCode problem content: when you open a problem on leetcode.com, the extension reads the problem title, difficulty, description and your selected language so it can help you.
- Your code: only when you click the
</>(Grab Code) button, the extension copies the code from the LeetCode editor into the side panel. - Your questions and chat messages you type into the side panel.
- Settings: your chosen AI provider, model, tutor style, language preference, and API key if you bring your own.
- Progress: which roadmap problems you've marked as solved.
3. Where it's stored
Settings, API keys and progress are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage (chrome.storage.local). They do not leave your device except as described in section 4. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.
4. Who receives your data
To generate hints, explanations and code reviews, the problem content, your code (if you grabbed it) and your messages are sent to the AI provider you select:
- Groq (api.groq.com)
- OpenAI (api.openai.com)
- Ollama (ollama.com, or your own local Ollama server)
When you use your own API key, the request goes directly from your browser to that provider and is governed by their privacy policy. If you use AlgoSolveo's hosted AI (paid plans), requests pass through our servers to the provider; we process them only to return a response and to enforce usage limits, and we do not use your code or messages to train models.
5. Accounts and payments
If you create an account or buy a paid plan, we collect your email address and plan status. Payments are processed by our payment provider (such as Razorpay or Stripe). We never see or store your full card or UPI details.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data.
- We don't collect your browsing history or read your other tabs.
- We don't use your data for advertising.
- We don't use or transfer your data for purposes unrelated to AlgoSolveo's core function, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
AlgoSolveo's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. The website
This website may use basic, privacy-friendly analytics to count visits. It does not use advertising cookies.
8. Data retention and deletion
Local data stays until you clear it or uninstall the extension. Account data is kept while your account is active. Email manikethanreddychalla20@gmail.com and we'll delete your account data within 30 days.
9. Children
AlgoSolveo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, consistent with applicable law including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Contact us at the email above.
